ChromaKit — Privacy Policy

Effective 20 July 2026

The short version: ChromaKit collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no servers. Every photo you sample and every palette you save stays on your device.

ChromaKit ("the app") is a color-picking, palette-extraction, paint-matching, and accessibility-contrast utility. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: it keeps everything on your device and transmits nothing.

Information the app collects

None that leaves your device. ChromaKit does not create accounts, does not require sign-in, and makes no network requests to send your data anywhere. Specifically:

Permissions

ChromaKit uses your operating system's standard photo picker to let you choose an image. This runs outside the app, and the app only ever receives the single image you explicitly select. The app does not request access to your full photo library, location, contacts, camera roll, or any other personal data.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by the platform's payment system (Google Play Billing on Android, the App Store on iOS). Those platforms handle the transaction and your payment details. ChromaKit never sees, collects, or stores any payment or financial information. Please refer to Google's or Apple's privacy policies for how they handle payments.

Third parties and tracking

ChromaKit contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking or telemetry software. Your usage of the app is not measured, profiled, or shared.

Data retention and deletion

Because all data stays on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete saved palettes within the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all of its local data, including your palettes and color history.

Children's privacy

ChromaKit does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behavior changes in a way that affects this policy (for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud feature), this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
